Police clearance certificate from Pakistan

Citizens and non-citizens living in Pakistan: Apply in person or by mail to the District Superintendent of Police at your place of residence or former residence. If you have resided in multiple capital cities in Pakistan, a police clearance must be provided from each capital city in which you have spent 12 months or more in the last 10 years.
Non-residents: Apply to the nearest Pakistan embassy or consulate in your country of residence.
Applicants who no longer live in Pakistan can also obtain certificates by directly sending blood relatives to the District Superintendent of Police at their former place/s of residence.
Citizens: Provide the application form and your ID card.
Resident non-citizens: Provide the application form and your residence permit.
Non-resident non-citizens: Provide the application form and details of your addresses and periods of residence in Pakistan.
The application form is available at local police stations. If it is not available, a letter may be accepted.
Note: applicants without formal residence permits will be unable to obtain a police certificate.
Depending on your Australian visa application type and your personal circumstances, you may be required to provide a police clearance certificate with your Australian visa application so that the Australian Government can determine whether you are of good character.
If you are required to provide a police clearance certificate, you must obtain the certificates from all the countries you have lived for 12 months or more cumulatively during the last 10 years.
Police clearance certificates are also known as a penal clearance certificate or Certificate of Criminal Record in some countries. Unless otherwise requested by the Department of Home Affairs (www.homeaffairs.gov.au), police clearance certificates are not required for persons under the age of 16 years.
Character requirements for an Australian Visa

As part of your Australian visa application, you might be required to provide a police clearance certificate (from each country where you have stayed for 12 months or more in the last 10 years) or other suitable evidence to satisfy the character requirements.
Under Section 501 of the Migration Act 1958, the Minister for Immigration or the Australian Department of Home Affairs (www.homeaffairs.gov.au) can refuse or cancel your visa, if you do not meet the character requirements.
